Last Second Tips to Achieve a Summer Body

Did you get a late start to your summer body? It’s okay, we know how a busy schedule can get in the way. But don’t worry, it’s not too late to get a little tone before you hit the shore this Summer. This four step process can help you lose as much as ten pounds in thirty days or less»

Step 1- Water

  • You NEED to flush out your system at the start of this process and water is the best way to do it!
  • Drink up to 2.5 liters of water DAILY for the first two weeks of your program.
  • If you need a little flavor, read the packaging and make sure these sweeteners are sugar-free. Clean water is the best way to stay energized without all the calories!

Step 2- No Sugar

  • Eliminating sugar all together is not safe, but a huge slash is needed if you want this kind of turnaround.
  • 4 teaspoons of sugar is okay on a day-to-day basis but nothing more. Sugars turn into fat and they actually reduce energy levels after that initial boost.
  • Under normal circumstances, fruits are good for you, but during this push to summer you are going to want to cut them out of your diet.
  • Stay away from things like honey because they have an undefined amount of sugar!

Step 3- Smaller Portions

  • This step is the most important!
  • Instead of eating food off of a normal sized plate, switch to a salad plate to force smaller portions.
  • If you have to go out to eat. Take half the meal home for later as these portions are usually at least double the size that they should be.
  • The general rule of thumb is that your portions should be no bigger than your fist. If they are, wrap them up and take it for later so you don’t create waste.

Step 4- Intense Exercise

  • You are going to need to ramp up your exercise routine if you want to lose weight fast.
  • Take weight off of your lifts and add reps to boost cardio and increase fat burning.
  • Research High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and find a workout that works for you. This style of workout is designed to cut fat and tone the muscles.
